Evangelos Marinakis-controlled Capital Maritime announced in July 2023 the order for two 22,000-m3 liquefied CO2 carriers placed with HD Hyundai Mipo Dockyard.

At Gastech in Singapore in September 2023, Babcock LGE announced it had won a contract to supply its ecoCO2 cargo handling and reliquefaction solution. As a subcontractor to LGE, Svanehøj has announced it will deliver the cargo and booster pumps.

Svanehøj sales director (gas) Nithin Sudarsan said, “Svanehøj has been a trusted partner for LGE on several cargo gas projects for very large gas and ethane carriers. Also having LCO2 pumps in operation has further convinced LGE our deep-well pump is the best solution for this project.”
