On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in the forecourt of the School of Naval Cadets in Piraeus, the 16th Efkranti Awards ceremony took place.
The award ceremony was attended by representatives of the political and military leadership of Greece, as well as selected members of the Greek maritime family.
The Efkrandi Awards have been organized by Nautica Chronika magazine since 2008 and consist an event that has taken on an institutional dimension in the consciousness of the Greek maritime community. The organization of the Awards for the sixteenth consecutive year, highlights not only the recognition of the honored persons, companies and institutions that received awards, but also the power of continuity in the leading course of the Greeks of the Sea.
Among other Evkrandi laureates, Capital Gas Ship Management Corp. received the 2023 Efkrantis Technological Innovation award for its contribution to Technological Innovation was awarded to Capital Gas.
MARine TEChnical Managers AssociationBoard members decided to honor Capital Gas Ship Management Corp. with the specific award, as they recognized the innovative features of a pioneering shipbuilding project of the company. More specifically, the world's first order of 4 innovative Liquefied CO₂ Carriers (22,000 cbm) is a sample of the high level of training and know-how of Capital Gas' technical department.
The design and construction of these ships bring together a series of technological innovations, which make them not only synonymous with the latest in shipbuilding technology, but also the "tip of the spear" for the green transition of the shipping industry.
It is noted that the sponsor of the Efkrantis Award for Contribution to Technological Innovation was the Embassy and Consulate General of Panama in Greece.
