IMO study on the readiness and availability of low and zero carbon ship and marine fuel technology submitted to the Marine Environment Protection Committee.

Among the key findings, the study suggests that achieving a more ambitious business-as-usual decarbonisation path, is achievable, with an enhanced level of ambition and the implementation of further GHG reduction measures. The study was completed by Ricardo-AEA Ltd and DNV, as part of the first phase.

The project started in September 2022, to support the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from international shipping.
